CESARE - CNCM REIMS
general and artistic director
Philippe Gordiani is a musician, composer, electronic music producer, and stage director. Since November 2022, he has been the director of Césaré, the National Center for Musical Creation in Reims.
A multidisciplinary artist, he creates hybrid and cross-disciplinary performances such as À l'origine fut la vitesse, inspired by Alain Damasio's La Horde du Contrevent, and H.A.V., based on a short story by J.G. Ballard.
He regularly collaborates with French and international musicians, developing projects at the crossroads of performance, installation, and concert. His long-standing partnership with visual artist Guillaume Marmin has led to numerous kinetic works, presented at digital art festivals in France and abroad.
At the invitation of Deutschlandradio Kultur, he has also composed for radio, exploring the format of the radio play. In parallel, he creates stage music for contemporary theater in collaboration with many directors.
He approaches sound spatialization as a form of writing, designing immersive sound installations that invite audiences into a renewed, sensory experience of listening.
