Matthieu CHABAUD

Matthieu Chabaud is the Legal and Administrative Director at Peermusic France. He began his career in 2001 as a Legal & Business Affairs professional at Warner Music France and later at Warner Chappell Music France. He founded a company through which he serves as an executive music producer for visual media and a music supervisor for feature films. Between 2012 and 2020, Matthieu led the French division of the independent music publishing group Schubert Music Publishing. An active member of CSDEM (French MPA), he holds a position as one of its board members. He has also served as the President of the training committee and as a member of the legal committee. Matthieu was a member of the audiovisual committee at SACEM until 2020. Committed to knowledge-sharing, he frequently participates in various educational programs and industry events, particularly focusing on music publishing and music for visual media. He contributes to numerous workshops and conventions, including the MBA Media Law program for Music Law, CNM, and more. Matthieu Chabaud co-authored the book "Droit de la musique" (LGDJ, 2016 - new edition forthcoming) and is the author of "La musique à l'image" (Éditions du CNM, 2023 - 2nd edition) and "L'édition musicale" (Éditions du CNM, 2022 - 2nd edition).
