Matthieu Chabaud is legal and administrative director at Peermusic France.
He began his career in 2001 as legal & business affairs at Warner Music France, then at Warner Chappell Music France. He then set up a company with which he is executive producer of soundtracks and music supervisor. Between 2012 and 2020, Matthieu managed the French company of the independent music publishing group Schubert Music Publishing.
An active member of the CSDEM, he is one of its directors. He has also been Chairman of the Education Commission and a member of the Legal Commission. Matthieu was a member of Sacem's audiovisual commission until 2020. Committed to sharing his knowledge, he is a frequent speaker on the subjects of music publishing and music for image, at training courses and trade fairs (M2 Droit des médias for the Music Law section, CNM, Le Fair...).
Matthieu Chabaud co-authored Droit de la musique (LGDJ, 2016 - new edition forthcoming) and is the author of La musique à l'image (Éditions du CNM, 2023 - 2nd edition) and L'édition musicale (Éditions du CNM, 2022 - 2nd edition).
