Since the late 1980s, Eric Bellamy has been active in the hip-hop scene in the Lyon region. It was a vibrant time, when hip-hop wasn't just about money, but first and foremost about expressing oneself through music, graffiti and dance. At first, he was known primarily by his alias 'Le Sourcier' (The Water Diviner), under which he worked as a beatmaker alongside the rap group IPM. In 1997, he created Lyonnaise des Flows, the first rap label in Lyon. He quickly diversified and began organizing concerts.
Giving more and more space to the development of concert production, Eric Bellamy then launched himself into the business of touring and developed a large number of artists from the French urban scene: Mafia K1fry, Rohff, Sefyu, Keny Arkana, Youssoupha, Casey, Sexion D'Assaut, Kery James, Disiz, Black M, Maître Gims... In 2009, he created Yuma Productions, the only concert production company specialising in urban music.
With diversification always in his sights, he also produced comedy shows such as Le Woop (the original troupe of Mister V & Hakim Jemili and Kevin Razy), urban dance shows (RAF Crew, Cie Paradox Sal, Turn Off The Light, Swaggers) and world music shows (Toofan, Viviane Chidid, Wally Seck, etc.).
Eric Bellamy has since become THE Booking agent of French rap in France.
In 2019, as Yuma Productions celebrates its 10th anniversary, it joined forces with Olympia Production/Vivendi Village, which acquired a majority stake in Yuma Productions.
Tayc, SCH, Damso, Dinos, Fally Ipupa, Aya Nakamura, Nej', Kalash and Souffrance are among the artists on the Yuma Productions roster.
In 2022, at the end of the Covid pandemic, Olympia Productions/Vivendi Village decided to end its live touring activities, leading to the resignation of Eric Bellamy, even though Yuma won the Victoire De La Musique award for Best Concert of the Year with Damso in 2023.
Regularly cited among the most influential figures in the hip hop world by the media outlet Booska-P, Eric launched a new company, Nouëva Productions, with new partners, and joined forces with Live Nation France, where he developed tours for Dinos, Aya Nakamura, Guy2Bezbar, RSKO, and Parisian concerts by Afro artists such as Burna Boy, Didi B, Arya Starr, Asake, Davido, Ckay and Oxlade.
2025 was a year of repositioning, as Eric parted ways with his partners at Nouëva Productions and launched an Afro music label, Noelya Records, and a new show production company serving artists and projects with an international focus, particularly in Africa: Sold Out Services.
