Created in 2005, the SMA - Syndicat des Musiques Actuelles is an employers' organization (trade union) composed of more than 600 members. These members are companies of the music industry in France: festivals, live music venues, producers, label and record company, promoters, booking agency as well as federations and networks. Our mission is to represent, empower and provide a support network for our members. The SMA is open to all small non profit-making structures that recognize themselves in this intermediate and alternative field.
and whose activities consist of distributing works, and/or accompanying practices, and/or supporting creation, and/or training practitioners in the music sector. Therefore we inform and advise our members on legal, social and fiscal matters and we represent the within 3 collective bargaining agreements. We also make advocacy for the music sector with the public authorities for a better consideration.
