Angharad COOPER

Angharad is a Paris-based consultant, producer and coach working with clients across music and sound to develop new artistic and research-based projects, with a view to increasing experimentation, impact and facilitating change. In 2025, she was elected Vice Chair of the European Music Council. Her main client is the Center for Music Ecosystems, the research-based NGO with a mission to conduct globally relevant research supporting communities to use music to solve problems at the local, national and global level, where she is Director of Operations. The Center's clients include the United Nations and the Nordic Culture Fund, where they have led pioneering projects on Intellectual Property Rights and Defining Resilience in Remote Music Ecosystems respectively - the latter working with remote cities in Greenland, the Faroe Islands, Kyrgyzstan and the Åland Islands, amongst others. In 2023 they launched the European Music Policy Exchange - the first guide of its kind bringing together best practice examples of EU city music policy, with input from over 100 EU experts. As a consultant, Angharad's clients include the British Council, Creative Europe, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Sound and Music and Music in Detention. As a producer, she has worked with many experimental artists and composers, particularly across improv, contemporary classical music and sound art, as well as with names such as Hot Chip, Kasaï Allstars and Asian Dub Foundation and many one off creative collaborations.
