Musicians' careers: a look back at a national survey

How are the careers of musicians in France being built today? What paths do they follow, between training, professionalization and artistic commitment? What social, economic and institutional realities shape their trajectories? Four years of participatory and shared observation, led by the POPP collective with the support of the Ministry of Culture, have made it possible to gain a deeper understanding of the multiple pathways taken by musicians in France. This round table will bring together researchers, artists and the Directorate-General for Artistic Creation to share their perspectives on the findings of this national study.
