Music Declares Emergency x Collectif des festivals x DJs for climate action x Technopol
Faced with the climate emergency, the "globe-trotter DJ" model is no longer sustainable. But how can we continue to offer diverse programming that reflects musical and personal diversity? As an artist, how can one balance professional development with ecological commitments?
This workshop, organized by Music Declares Emergency as part of the COURTS CIRCUITS project, invites participants to collectively discuss the challenges artists face in adopting low-carbon, shared touring practices ("short artistic circuits"). The discussion will draw on the experiences of artists Vel and Deborah Aime La Bagarre.
COURTS CIRCUITS is an initiative led by Technopol in collaboration with the Collectif des Festivals, DJs for Climate Action, and MDE France, aiming to promote the adoption of "short artistic circuits." Winner of the AAP Alternatives Vertes, COURTS CIRCUITS is funded by the government under #France2030, designed in collaboration with the Secrétariat général pour l'investissement and the Ministry of Culture, and operated by the Banque des Territoires on behalf of the State. The project also receives support from the European Commission through its LiveMX program.
