After Brexit, both British and European artists and industry professionals are facing real challenges, and now more than ever, we need to make it clear that this separation cannot call into question decades of shared history and collaboration. A striking example of the current situation, the most recent UK industry data reveals that in the summer of 2023, there were 32% fewer UK artists touring Europe than in 2019. This session brings together UK and European professionals to examine the true scale of the problem from both perspectives, and to identify practical next steps to strengthen cultural links between the UK and the rest of Europe.
