Sophie Druais, artist agent and manager
In 1990, Sophie began her professional career as a double bass player, performing with several symphony orchestras. At the same time, she studied double bass and singing at the Conservatoire du XIVème arrondissement in Paris. In 2002, she explored different musical styles, before settling definitively on jazz. Since 2009, she has been leader of several vocal jazz groups. She then discovered the world of production and enjoyed developing and promoting her bands.
In 2019, wishing to move into production, Sophie trained in “Artistic Project Management” and graduated in 2020 from CIFAP in Montreuil. A jazz festival programmer, she also sits on the Festivals commission of the CNM in Paris, as well as on SPEDIDAM, and is a member of an artists' union and a managers' union, “l'AMA”. In 2021, she created the Doris Production agency and became the agent for a dozen artists on the jazz scene. She is also the manager of jazz guitarist Hugo Lippi, who has received several distinctions: the Django Reinhardt Prize (French jazz musician of the year 2019); the “Coup de cœur” of the Académie Charles Cros for his album “Comfort Zone” recorded in New York; and recently, artist “Génération SPEDIDAM” Jazz and World Music 2023-2025.
