In her mother tongue, her middle name is a symbol of hope. It breathes life into the adventures of an artist who heals her wounds with words: Sheng.
It was under this name that she stepped into the big machine in 2019, carried by candid, mischievous lyrics. To the rhythm of her boom-boom music, sung in French and dotted with Mandarin, the French-Chinese artist has built emotional landscapes that tell the everyday stories of a 24-year-old woman.
And between the sadnesses and the joys that crack beneath fake nails, Sheng is now unveiling her debut album. Surrounded by producer Medeline and musicians Honnoj 304 and HOK, she spent a year and a half crafting 14 tracks (including a remix) that explore intimacy and desire.
