CIE L'ÎLE DE LA TORTUE / FÉRUE
Artistic Director / Co-President
Trained at the Paris Conservatory of Dramatic Art (1st and 11th districts) and at the École du Jeu, and holding a master's degree in Performing Arts with a specialization in Ethnoscenology, Sarah is currently a stage director in the field of contemporary music, an indoor/outdoor actress, a loyal performer with the Cie d'Elles, and the artistic director of the company L'île de La Tortue, based in Seine-Saint-Denis, which she founded. Through a renewed theatrical approach in public spaces and non-traditional venues, she explores issues at the heart of society's concerns by challenging dominant perspectives. Her commitment to an inclusive artistic practice, within the working-class neighborhoods she comes from, leads her to develop numerous projects with various population groups: detention centers, nursing homes, schools, and newly arrived women.
