Renée Chalu is a cultural producer and co-director of Se Rasgum Produções, as well as the founder of the Se Rasgum Festival, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary and has been recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Belém. She also created the Sonido - Instrumental & Experimental Music Festival and the Circuito Mangueirosa de Carnaval, both with a strong focus on sustainability in the Amazon. In addition to working as a music curator, she co-owned the Ziggy music venue in Belém from 2017 to 2019. In 2025, she will launch ALMA - Amazônia Legal Música & Arte, the first conference dedicated to music and the creative economy in the region.

For 20 years, we have been discovering and showcasing new artists from the Amazon, Brazil, and around the world. We promote national and international connections, work on audience development, and produce a variety of projects focused mainly on new Brazilian and Amazonian music.
