INDEPENDENT
DJ, Author, Apple Music host
Host on Apple Music and resident DJ on Rinse France, Naomi (Clément, by
name) is a multifaceted talent: DJ, journalist, and author. With a decade of
experience in music journalism (having worked with Vogue, Konbini, Les Inrocks,
and Antidote Magazine, among others), she has interviewed some of the biggest
names in the international rap and R&B scenes, including Cardi B, Doja Cat,
Pusha T, and Usher. In 2020, she also launched her own media platform, DNA,
where she has notably featured voices such as Rico Nasty, Koffee, and American
producer Rodney Jerkins.
A DJ since 2019, Naomi crafts impactful and immersive sets that reflect her
eclectic world. From the iconic dancefloor of La Machine du Moulin Rouge to
the concrete ground of Macadam, and festivals such as Les Plages
Électroniques and Le Macki Off, she electrifies crowds with her singular style-a
bold fusion of Afro-Caribbean rhythms, bass music sounds, and a deep-rooted
love for rap and R&B. Her R&B Gems show on Rinse France has become a must-
listen for fans of R&B, neo-soul, and lo-fi hip-hop. She has also opened for
several artists in these genres, including Tink, Erika de Casier, and Lolo Zouaï. In
2022, London-based DJ Jyoty (also an R&B fan and Rinse FM resident) booked
her for the Paris date of her "Hot Mess Summer Tour."
This rich career path has drawn the attention of numerous brands, including
Louis Vuitton, Nike, Off-White, and Lacoste. For them, Naomi has taken on
various roles: DJing at events (Fashion Week parties, store openings, etc.),
hosting conferences, and creating content. Naomi has also published two books
about women in arts: Tatoueuses (2022) and Femmes de Rap (2023), both
released by Leduc editions.
