Artist, composer, and performer, Nadia Ratsimandresy trained in the Ondes Martenot under Françoise Pellié-Murail in Évry, and holds diplomas in both the Ondes Martenot and Musical Acoustics programs from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP). She also holds a Master's degree in Musicology from Sorbonne University and completed her academic path at Queens College, CUNY (USA). Nadia is a territorial professor of artistic education in music, specializing in synthesizer and Ondes Martenot. Since 2021, she has co-directed the AnA company with Annabelle Playe, which is dedicated to exploratory music and immersive forms (Occitanie region). She has been president of the national network for musical creation, Futurs Composés, since 2020. In spring 2025, she was appointed General and Artistic Director of GRAME, the national center for musical creation in Lyon, with a project grounded in the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion, aligned with today's societal concerns. Nadia views artistic creation as a tool for empowerment, serving both artistic teams and local communities. She envisions GRAME as part of a dynamic of cooperation and mobility, in collaboration with artists who bring territories to life and challenge collective imagination. Born in Paris, of Malagasy diaspora heritage, and mother of a teenage daughter, Nadia Ratsimandresy strongly advocates for the right of society to benefit from a robust and committed public cultural policy.
