PARLOPHONE, WARNER MUSIC FRANCE
Artist
Léman always wanted to be an artist. The music he makes today is a mix of what he listened to as a child, influenced by his father's tastes (AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, etc.), and what he has discovered since, such as American rock icons Jeff Buckley and English band Radiohead (Amnesia is his favorite album, he readily admits). Léman, who takes his stage name from the place where he grew up on the French-Swiss border, also draws inspiration from electronic music (SebastiAn, Justice, KSHMR, NGHTMRE, etc.) and metal bands such as Slipknot and Machine Head. In his evocatively titled EP On est plein, Léman delivers pop-rock songs reminiscent of both Muse and Daniel Balavoine, bringing people together. He develops his writing style, which tackles all kinds of subjects and softens their darkness with a false lightness. It is a personal song, yet very universal, in which many people can find themselves. This track forms a kind of diptych with the song On est Plein, which acts as a kind of repair. It deals with the importance of other people's opinions, lack of confidence, doubts, and the "knots in our heads" that we create for ourselves. In the end, hope resonates, embracing the breadth and multitude of people. In the end, we are together. We are full. After this first EP, Léman presents his new single "Les Etoiles" and offers what he does best: pop music still slightly tinged with his rock and chanson influences, combining meaningful content with charming form. This first track heralds the arrival of his debut album, scheduled to be released on October, 24th.
