Lars Döring studied political science and has been a club owner and DJ for more than 30 years now. He began djing already during his last years in school. In 1993 he started Acud Club, which he ran for four years. In the mid-nineties until the end of 2011, together with Pamela Schobeß, he ran the club Icon in Prenzlauer Berg, which they had to close due to gentrification. Since autumn 2011 both run the Kreuzberg (live)club Gretchen, where Lars curates the programme. Gretchen has been awarded the APPLAUS Prize (award for the programming of independent venues by the Federal Commissioner for Culture and the Media) already five times. Lars is also doing a radioshow on boxout.fm.
