ATLA
Sound musician and educational manager at the Atla school
Lambert Combes is a musician, sound artist, and teacher with over 20 years of experience. He is known for his ability to innovate, teach, and connect people through music.
After studying classical piano and jazz saxophone, Lambert discovered sound design and music technology through composition for film and media. At age 27, Ubisoft hired him to redesign sound for video games. He created the Sound Design department, invented new jobs in this field, and enjoyed training the sound designers he hired. Passionate about innovation, he led a research team working on generative music and AI for music, where he developed concepts and prototypes for musical games.
After 10 years in technology, Lambert returned to performing music. He earned French teaching diplomas (DUMI and DE) to become a professional music teacher. At Juvisy Conservatory, he opened the first digital instrument class in France. At Atla Music School, he taught free improvisation and later created their "Sound Musicians" program.
Today, Lambert continues his life as a musician while teaching sound creation at Nanterre Regional Conservatory (CRD). He is Head of Pedagogy at Atla School in Paris, where he trains the future generation of creative sound artists.
