Keivan Djavadzadeh is an Associate Professor in Media Studies at Paris 8 University. A member of the Center for Media, Technology, and Internationalization Studies (CEMTI), his research focuses on power relations and celebrity culture in the music industry and rap, in both the United States and France. He has published numerous articles on the subject in academic journals. He is the author of Hot, Cool & Vicious: Gender, Race, and Sexuality in U.S. Rap (Éditions Amsterdam, 2021).
