Janette Berrios is the VP of Corporate Marketing at Symphonic Distribution, a leading independent music distributor with a global footprint. Originally from Puerto Rico, Janette was one of Symphonic's early team members and has played a pivotal role in its growth. She works closely with her husband, Jorge Brea, the company's founder, helping to establish Symphonic as a key player in the industry with offices in Tampa, Nashville, New York, Bogotá, São Paulo, Mexico, Canada, Asia, and Africa.
With expertise in entrepreneurship, artist development, multi-channel marketing, event production, branding, and creative design, Janette has shared her insights at top industry conferences, including SXSW, Winter Music Conference, Amsterdam Dance Event, LAMC, Music Biz, and M for Montreal. A passionate advocate for education, diversity, and community engagement, Janette has been instrumental in organizing networking events worldwide. She also co-founded the Women Empowerment Mentorship Program, which has connected 1000 women across the U.S., Latin America, Brazil, Asia, and Africa, fostering leadership and growth for women in the music industry. Her impact has earned her numerous accolades, including recognition in Billboard's Indie Power Players and International Power Players lists, as well as the Wonder Women in Latin Music award from LAMC and Amazon Music. Beyond Symphonic, Janette is deeply involved in community initiatives and serves on multiple boards, including the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA), Music Business Association, Full Sail University, the Music Industry Recording Arts Program at the University of St. Petersburg, and the Tampa Theatre Advisory Board. She previously served on the board of the Association for Electronic Music (AFEM). |
