Herman Rodriguez-Bajandas is a seasoned Latin music executive, publisher, and consultant with decades of experience across songwriting, label operations, publishing, and artist services. Born into a family deeply involved in the Latin entertainment world in Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the U.S., his career path in music was a natural progression. He began as a songwriter for top artists on the legendary Fania label, with credits on multiple Grammy-nominated and Gold/Platinum-certified albums. He later served as Operations Manager at RMM Records, working closely with artists like Celia Cruz, Marc Anthony, Tito Puente, and India. Herman held leadership roles at SGAE and SoundExchange, signing iconic Latin artists and estates. In 2000, he co-founded Nuevo Mundo Music, an independent label and publisher, with renowned entertainment attorney and business manager Michael Tannen whose clients included John Lennon, Paul Simon, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, and Simon & Garfunkel, legendary Grammy-winning producer Phil Ramone, known producing Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, and Ray Charles; and Fania Co-Founder & Salsa legend Johnny Pacheco. In 2016, Herman launched Fonico, LLC, a music publishing, administration, and artist services company focused on the Latin market. Its roster includes icons Willie Colón, Bobby Valentín, Richie Ray & Bobby Cruz, Roberto Torres, Alfredo De La Fe, estates of Johnny Pacheco, Tito Rodríguez, Cachao, Ray Barretto, Cheo Feliciano, and for some royalty issues, the estate of Celia Cruz, among others. He continues to consult for artists and companies across music, media, finance, and technology, bringing deep experience in creative A&R, publishing, rights management, production, and strategic development.
