Eyuel Mengistu is a highly accomplished composer, arranger, producer, instrumentalist, and music educator based in Ethiopia, renowned for his versatile talents across a wide range of musical disciplines. His expertise encompasses music research, composition, arrangement for renowned artists, and writing music for theatrical productions.
Recently, he composed and produced the international album "Yedega Sew, "which bridges seven countries across three continents-Ethiopia, Guinea Bissau, Portugal, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the United States. The album received the "Ellel Yale Habesha Award "for Best Ethiopian Album of the Year in 2025.
The album's success was marked by a tour across France, performing over 70 shows in 17 different cities from November 23, 2024, to February 10, 2025. Following this impressive tour, Eyuel showcased two successful performances in Ethiopia.
Eyuel recently achieved acclaim by composing the award-winning score for the international film "Doqa," which earned the GUMMA Award.
