Elias KARAM

Elias Karam is the Head of Business Development at Ircam Amplify, the music-tech subsidiary of Ircam-Centre Pompidou. Since 2021, he has led global partnerships and commercial strategy, with a focus on AI-driven music detection and immersive audio technologies. His role bridges artists, distributors, rights holders and platforms, ensuring cutting-edge research from IRCAM finds impactful applications across the music industry. Before joining Ircam Amplify, Elias was at IBM, where he coordinated large-scale international programs at the forefront of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and advanced data systems. He also contributed to pioneering research in music-focused AI as a Machine Learning Engineer at Johannes Kepler Universität in Linz in Austria, deepening his expertise at the intersection of technology and creativity. Trained as a classical pianist and conductor, and holding a Master's degree in Computer Science, Elias combines technical depth, artistic sensibility, and commercial acumen. His work consistently focuses on connecting innovation with industry needs, helping shape how AI and technology redefine the future of music.
