Cristina Perpiñá-Robert has been the chief executive officer of the Sociedad General de Autores y Editores (SGAE) since 2023. Her priorities are to achieve better remuneration at lower cost for its members, as well as operational excellence, and to situate SGAE among the leading societies in a very competitive market.
Ms Perpiñá-Robert has more than 25 years of experience in copyright and collective management. She has held senior positions in international organisations such as the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC), serving as its Director of Legal and Public Affairs (2019-2023). Previously, Perpiñá-Robert worked at SGAE from 1998 to 2018, holding various positions such as director of Regulatory Affairs and Digital Markets (2016-2018) and director of Legal Services.
A graduate of Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, she is a lecturer, speaker and regular contributor to international conferences and congresses on intellectual property, collective management and artificial intelligence. Ms Perpiñá-Robert has also authored various publications on copyright and intellectual property.
