A Career Rooted in Event Management
Christophe Denoyelle is the manager of Step by Step Sécurité, a company specializing in event security. Each year, Step by Step ensures the safety of more than 600 concerts, 75 trade shows, and 20 festivals, welcoming over 1,500,000 people. Before moving into security, he worked in various roles as an event organizer (festivals and concerts), project leader, and performing arts freelancer. These early experiences gave him a solid understanding of the challenges of event organization, audience management, and the specific needs of teams working on the ground.
Specialization in Event Security
This background made him aware of the importance of a security system that goes beyond a reactive approach, by also focusing on prevention and risk reduction. In 2003, drawing on this experience and following a key encounter with a security professional in Brittany, he joined his company and specialized in event security. For nearly 17 years, he developed a human-centered approach, placing inclusiveness, audience care, and support at the core of his work.
The Creation of Step by Step Sécurité
In 2020, following the health crisis and on the foundations of the previous structure, he founded Step by Step Sécurité with the ambition of offering a more human approach to event security-where support, risk prevention (particularly concerning gender-based and sexual violence), and the fight against discrimination are top priorities. Today, he leads a dedicated team trained to address these issues, while continuing to improve practices across the event security sector.
