Charles Tabu is one of the leading figures in management and live production in Francophone Africa. Born into a family where music holds a central place - son of Congolese legend Tabu Ley Rochereau and brother of rapper Youssoupha - he has established himself as a behind-the-scenes strategist, building the careers and tours of some of the biggest names in music.
He began his career working alongside iconic artists such as Sexion d'Assaut and DJ Arafat, whom he managed, before continuing his path with Ferré Gola. These experiences shaped his expertise in management, booking, and artistic direction, while strengthening his reputation as a reliable and visionary professional.
Today, Charles Tabu is recognized for his key role in the production of large-scale concerts. He notably supports Gims and Dadju on their African tours, helping bring their shows to audiences across the continent. He also took part in major events such as Fally Ipupa's concert at Bercy, which he considers one of the highlights of his career.
His influence also extends to Francophone gospel: as producer of NK Divine, he orchestrated a historic feat in July 2025 with a sold-out Accor Arena (Bercy), filling the venue with more than 15,000 spectators. In the same spirit, he initiated and supported the Solidarité Congo concert, a musical and civic gathering that illustrates his commitment to using music as a tool for unity and social change.
A cultural entrepreneur and committed pan-Africanist, Charles Tabu represents a new generation of African managers and producers. A discreet yet essential strategist, he works to develop artists, structure their careers, and assert the place of African music.
