Arjay is an economist specializing in public finance, industrial policy, health, and fiscal policy. He is currently working as the policy research expert for MusikaPilipinas, a project that aims to study, develop, and strengthen the Philippine music industry through research and policy recommendations He is also a faculty member in the Department of Business Economics at the University of Sto.
