WCB WASAFI
Artist Manager & Head of Digital Operations
Ackim Ndolo Mwandembwa, professionally known as Kim Kayndo, is a Tanzanian digital strategist and music executive widely recognized as a key architect of Tanzania's digital music evolution.
He began his career as an Artist Relations Manager at Wasafidotcom-one of the country's first streaming platforms-before becoming Head of Digital at WCB Wasafi. In this role, he has led strategy, execution, and digital campaigns for the label's entire roster, past and present, including Diamond Platnumz, Zuchu, Mbosso, Lava Lava, D Voice, as well as former artists Harmonize, Rayvanny, and Rich Mavoko.
Kim's digital leadership has driven explosive success across platforms like YouTube, Audiomack, Boomplay, and TikTok-helping turn local talent into globally streamed stars. He currently serves as Zuchu's manager while continuing to oversee digital strategy and operations for all Wasafi artists, ensuring each has a strong and tailored online presence.
As a former Audiomack Tanzania Ambassador and Ziiki Media consultant, Kim helped shape the regional streaming landscape through content strategy, licensing, and platform partnerships. He is also credited with pioneering Tanzania's shift toward digital in 2016-long before it became industry standard-and was the first to introduce YouTube Creator Awards (plaques) to the country.
Beyond Wasafi, Kim has worked with various East African artists and teams, offering digital consulting and support in areas like monetization, copyright, analytics, and distribution.
With a visionary approach and a proven track record, Kim Kayndo continues to lead the charge in positioning Tanzanian music for global success in the digital era.
