With the current political context in France, it seemed important for the RIF, Réseaux des musiques actuelles en Île-de-France, to promote the values of general interest, inclusion and social cohesion that we share with our members.
Music venues in the Paris region play a crucial role in meeting these challenges. Through their commitment and innovative projects, these structures actively contribute to fighting ghettoization, welcoming people unconditionally and promoting musical and artistic diversity. In Île-de-France, many players in the contemporary music scene are mobilized to promote cultural rights and encourage the inclusion of all audiences.
The conference will feature testimonials from four structures in the Île-de-France contemporary music network. Each venue will present initiatives that have helped strengthen social ties and promote inclusion, and how music can be a powerful vector for social cohesion and cultural diversity in the fight against discrimination.
