Music festivals as drivers of change

Festivals, alongside popular culture at large, hold a distinct position and wield significant power in promoting societal transformation. At festivals, the guests seek refuge from their everyday life and enter a utopian-like culture where they are often receptive to new inputs. Festivals therefore have a huge opportunity to use their platforms to test out new ideas, channel new perspectives, and inspire people to act on some of the most pressing issues of our time. In this panel, Roskilde Festival, Sziget Festival, and Fête de L'Humanité will raise the conversation on how we as an industry handle the responsibility toward our audiences, the music industry, and the planet.
