10:30-10:40: discussion with the audience
10:40 - 11:40: Entrepreneurship in the music industry: empowerment or casualization of artists?
Round table discussion
Launch of the CNMLab collection "Artists and entrepreneurship. Towards new organizational patterns in music".
The growing importance of "independent" artists is generating a certain amount of enthusiasm, to the point where they are seen as embodying the structuring model for tomorrow's musicians. The figure of the emancipated artist, with control and power over his or her activity, is now matched by situations that are sometimes very fragile.
To mark the release of its new collection "Artists and Entrepreneurship", CNMlab has invited leading figures from the academic, artistic and professional worlds to discuss the opportunities and limits of these artist-centered business models.
11.40am-12pm: Closing remarks by Jean-Philippe Thiellay
