The Gip Café Cultures is a plan designed to support art employment in various local spots. It encourages and ensures the continued existence of the employment of artists and technicians of live performances in spaces and places crucial for the cultural dynamism of any region and which often offer artists the first opportunity to make their work known.
In practical terms, Gip Cafés Cultures manages two aid funds:
- Since 2015, a fund for cafés, hotels and restaurants;
- Since July 1, 2023, a fund for other occasional employers, such as neighborhood or village associations, municipalities with fewer than 3,500 inhabitants, farms, small businesses, etc.
These funds are financed by the Ministry of Culture and by any local and regional authority whose purpose is to develop this initiative. They can hence support cultural practices, develop local attractivity, and work on a rich and varied network.
This workshop will be an opportunity to introduce and understand the workings of both funds managed by the Gip Cafés Cultures that has already supported more than 128 000 artists and technicians fees.
