During COVID, livestreams and concerts in the metaverse were seen as miracle solutions to compensate for venues being closed. In time however and despite venues reopening, the way disabled audiences could enjoy the same live experiences as able-bodied audiences was sidelined. Disabled audiences were told they could stay at home and livestream while immersive and VR concerts created ever more sophisticated and technologically advanced experiences.
How can immersive concerts also be accessible to disabled spectators, especially blind, visually impaired and neurodivergent people ?
