The contemporary music sector, in its "institutional" structuring, has acted to connect and bring together most of the stakeholders and companies in the field, through territorial networks, national federations, or union representation. This ecosystem is today well identified, and constitutes a set of interlocutors for public policies, at both local and national levels. Paradoxically, in this process of construction, the community of those who "make the music"-called artists, musicians, amateurs, emerging acts…-have, with rare exceptions, not had a say. We can therefore observe that much of what constitutes the musical landscape-its economic logics, public support, regulatory frameworks, political priorities-has been shaped almost without the opinion of those most directly concerned. On the eve of major electoral milestones, is it not time to question the absence of this voice, of this legitimate exercise of citizenship? Widely open to artists, this roundtable will make it possible to see under which conditions, and with which arguments, mobilization could be within reach.
