Launched in 2021, Rappeuses en liberté is a scheme run by some twenty partners to encourage the professionalization of female rappers, who are still too absent from the media, stages and streams. The aim of this initiative? To enable female rappers each year to benefit from expertise in training, recording, clipping, performing in concert and networking, and for three prizewinners to benefit from in-depth, personalized support for one year. The scheme has already proved its worth, supporting artists who have gone on to launch their careers, including Eesah Yasuke, Brö, Juste Shani, Ossem, Almä Mango, 2L and many others. On October 15 at MaMA, Rappeuses en liberté will unveil the winners of the fifth edition.
Rappeuses en liberté gives female rappers professional opportunities through 360° support. After embarking on a two-month professionalization cycle, including training and masterclasses, they will perform in a final concert at MaMA Music & Convention on October 15. The jury will select the winners of the 2025 edition. The prize: stages at Les Ardentes, Zénith de Paris La Villette (1st part of Médine) and elsewhere, residencies, recordings, networking and media exposure, and strong support from our partners.
