VELOURS VELOURS is the creative outlet of Montréal artist Raphaël Pépin-Tanguay, whose bold, heartfelt pop bridges indie folk textures with both retro flair and a youthful spark. Since the release of his debut EP "Fauve" in 2022, co-produced with acclaimed songwriter Philippe Brach, he has captivated a growing audience with a sound that feels at once timeless and new.
On stage, Velours Velours has built a reputation for powerful, magnetic performances, from Québec's major festivals to France's Printemps de Bourges. His debut album Quand je pleure, je suis content (January 31, 2025) pushes deeper into this singular universe: intimate yet ambitious, tender yet blazing. Upon release, the album was spotlighted in FIP's Selection, reaffirming him as one of the most compelling new voices in francophone pop.
