Agathe, before being Savanah, is first and foremost a girl from Romans-sur-Isère who dreams of dance and cinema, of a utopian and creative world, far removed from diktats. A teenage fan of David Lynch and Mulholland Drive, whose destiny she in some way shares with one of the heroines. Agathe, yes, is like Betty, who came to the City of Angels in the film, hoping to make a living from the 7th art. Unlike Betty, however, Savanah then turned to music.
In her soaring piano tunes, she likes to evoke the sad and painful things in life through hazy but sometimes joyful melodies. Like a chiaroscuro painting, Savanah and Agathe are the same person, but they are very different. One dazzles, the other is darker.
