NILUSI is a French-Sri Lankan artist who tells her story through music and visuals.
Today, she is forging her own path with complete independence. As a songwriter, she has written for artists such as Ayra Starr, Rema, Yseult, Anitta, Banks, Sevdaliza, and Pabllo Vittar, and she co-wrote the global hit « Alibi. » She is also featured on Natalia Lacunza’s latest album.
Her debut solo album, Lettre à l’Univers (Letter to the Universe), blends soul, R&B, jazz, pop, and traditional South Asian melodies. The single « Tereketena, » inspired by her cultural roots, was highlighted by Timbaland. Entirely self-produced, the album explores themes of healing and identity.
Her visuals, known for their poetry, have touched millions of people, notably with her performance of « Leave a Message. » Filmed in the middle of a lotus lake surrounded by thousands of birds, it went viral with over 30 million views on social media.
Featured in Vogue India, her universe has also been praised and supported by artists such as Kehlani, Yebba, and H.E.R., who recognize the uniqueness of her project.
