ÀKILA, also known as PUTA DA SILVA, is a Brazilian singer, filmmaker, and actress based in Lisbon. Born in Minaçu (Goiás), she holds a Theatre degree from UFU and a master's from Lisbon's Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. She has stood out in Portugal's arts scene since 2020 with singles "BRUXONAS" (MVF Awards nominee), "HÉTERO CURIOSO", and "FESTINHA 360". Her work blends punk, rock, and Afro-Brazilian rhythms with strong political and poetic expression. In 2025, she released "OS VAMPIROS", a powerful reinterpretation of ZECA AFONSO's protest song. The video premiered on Portugal's Freedom Day, April 25, and was performed live at Casa da Música's 20th anniversary. That year, she performed at EuroPride Lisbon, defending trans, Black, migrant, and marginalized communities, while condemning the genocide in Palestine. She made history as the first Black trans actress in a Portuguese soap ("CACAU", 2024). She is Co-founder and Deputy Director of Casa T Lisboa.
