Yann Rivoal - 53 years old / La Vapeur - Dijon
Yann Rivoal is one of the founders of the Festival des Vieilles Charrues, of which he was the first director until 2008. During this period, he was also behind the creation of the international festival federation "De Concert!" and the "Collectif des festivals" in Brittany.
After a transition period as a freelancer, during which he provided consultancy and expertise in France and Europe for networks and project developers, he took over the management of La Vapeur in Dijon in 2011, which was awarded the SMAC label in 2012.
He reshaped the project, giving pride of place to cultural mediation and artistic accompaniment, in addition to a strong program open to diversity. Under his leadership, "La Vapeur" will develop the "GéNéRiQ" festival until 2020, and in 2022 create "L'Extra Festival" with an eco-citizen dimension.
He worked on the renovation and transformation of "La Vapeur", which culminated in the inauguration of a new "Vapeur", modern, functional and open to the city, on February 7, 2018.
At the same time, he was involved in the creation of the regional network for contemporary music, "fema Bourgogne-Franche-Comté", which he co-chaired from its inception in 2016 and for 4 years.
He is currently a board member of the "SMA" - Syndicat des Musiques Actuelles - and sits on various commissions at the "CNM" - Centre National de la Musique.
