Loman is the solo project of Romain YAMAUCHI, a Franco-Japanese artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist.
Loman elegantly combines edgy electro beats, melancholy keyboards and jazzmaster riffs, guiding us with his sometimes suave, sometimes crystalline voice through spleen-filled soundscapes at the crossroads of electro, pop and rock.
A skilful blend that will appeal to lovers of the demanding electro of Apparat, the contemplative poetry of Ryuichi Sakamoto and the cold darkness of Trentemöller.
After the release of his first EP "Night Time" (2021), widely acclaimed by the critics (Libération, Tsugi, Radio France...), Loman first won the "Inouïs du Printemps de Bourges" springboard competition in 2022, then released 3 singles. This sparked growing interest from the press and music industry professionals.
In winter 2022, he was programmed at Bars en Trans, then spotted by electro producer Vitalic, who invited him to join the prestigious roster of his Citizen Records / Clivage Music label (Kompromat, Mondkopf, Poltergeist, Cercueil...).
His new EP, Nocturnal Animals, is released on February 8, 2024. This 6-track EP includes the Radio France favorite Start Again, remixed by Vitalic.
Loman has just completed the first leg of a tour that included SMACs in Burgundy Franche Comté, an opening act for Irène Drésel (Live Nation) at Le Bikini in Toulouse, a release party at FGO Barbara (Paris) and a double live performance at the FIMU festival.
He is currently preparing the continuation of his tour and the next songs to be released between now and the end of 2024.
