After obtaining a DEA (post-graduate diploma) in the law of obligations from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, Malika SÉGUINEAU pursued a three-year thesis at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and five years of teaching in the law of obligations and distressed company law at the University of Angers.
At the same time, she began her professional career as a legal journalist with the Wolters Kluwer group, specializing in employment law. As deputy editor-in-chief, she worked for ten years in the group's various editorial departments, including Social Pratique, Mémo Social and Semaine sociale Lamy.
In 2009, Malika SÉGUINEAU joined PRODISS, the national union for music and variety shows. Initially in charge of legal affairs, she became General Secretary in 2012. Since 2014, she has held the position of General Manager of PRODISS.
She has also written "Les contrats de travail dans le spectacle vivant" (2010), "La Retraite, mode d'emploi" (2011) and "La mobilité internationale des artistes et des techniciens" (2012). Published in the Les Petits Pratiques du PRODISS collection, these books are aimed at companies in the live performance sector.
Alongside her professional activities, Malika SÉGUINEAU is involved with the Chemins d'Avenirs association, founded by Salomé Berlioux. As godmother, she mentors a high-school student from "peripheral France", to help him or her with future projects and career choices, regardless of academic results or social criteria.
