KATCROSS

An organist trained at the Conservatoire from the age of 8, Catherine Cros swapped her monumental instrument for a synthesizer and a computer in 1989, already with the desire to pervert secular music.

Nurtured by a solid classical foundation, she ventured onto the rock scene, experimenting with everything from collective punk jazz to pop and electro-rock, drawing on the experience of the many musicians she played with along the way. From 1992 to 1995, she studied at Music Halle - Musiques actuelles amplifiés in Toulouse, and from 1994 to 1997 at the Conservatoire régional in the jazz piano department.

Completing her journey by working in the studio (from recording to arranging), she takes part in the finalization of various projects. In her home studio, she discovers a new instrument: the voice, or more precisely, her voice in the early 2000s.

This discovery appears to be the culmination of his various explorations.
Defining his creative work as craft, in the sense that sounds are materials offering infinite possibilities of assembly, music is a tool to express himself, to record, to play live and to make great encounters (Steve Forward: sound engineer, Tricky, Clive Deamer, Jim Bar, Jake Mc Murchie, Pete Judge, Les Sparks ...) and to share it while performing on stage with his partner Mathieu Blanc.

Songwriter and performer with Katcross (electro rock).
Musical art director and freelance composer for various sound identity projects: exhibitions, documentaries, TV series (la seria), commercials, and architectural sound design.

Catherine Cros is also the artistic creator of projects for the Association Grand Bureau, which supports the promotion of cultural initiatives for targeted audiences (music/video workshops on the theme of "sexism" in partnership with Le Petit Cowboy for a teenage audience, music for documentaries on the subject of disability). Musician and composer for the "Playmobile" workshops set up by choreographer Sylvain Huc.
