Whim Therapy is the side project of Jérémy Benichou, composer and arranger for the group Diva Faune. His project grew out of a meeting with Sony's research and development arm, Sony CSL.
This collaboration gave him access to new tools, notably artificial intelligence, and won him 2nd prize in the AI Song Contest. The artist decided to take his collaboration with Sony CSL a step further, and embarked on the unprecedented conception of an EP using prototypes they had developed, and, for the first time in the world, pushed back the standards of electronic pop music.
Following the success of the EP, Whim Therapy decided to develop the live aspect and surrounded himself with Médiatone and Desk.Locked for the creation of an electronic live show which enabled him to perform at festivals such as Mama, Soeurs Jumelles and Crossroads in 2023. At the same time, he decided to release a new track every 6 weeks, forming his 2nd EP "1023".
Two million streams later, Whim Therapy attacks 2024 with a program of releasing one new track a month, multiplying collaborations (Maddy Street, BEMY, Jim Bauer...), and evolving his live show to perform in France and abroad.
