Jean-Philippe Dary is a pianist, author, composer and performer.
He has been Tony Allen's pianist for some twenty years.
"The Source" and "Tribute to Art Blackey", as well as the Tony Allen & Jeff Mills album "Tomorrow comes the harvest", which they performed live as a trio. Today, Jean Phi Dary forms a duo with Jeff Mills called "The
Paradox", whose debut album "Counter Active" was released by AXIS in 2021, followed by "Live à Montreux".

A professional musician for over thirty years, Jean Phi Dary has played with Papa Wemba (on tour with Peter Gabriel), Touré Kunda and Alpha
Blondie and Omar PENE. He has also collaborated with such diverse artists as Terri Moise ,Phoenix, Sly and Robbie, Paco Sery, Greg Osby, Ernest Ranglin, Damon Albarn, Oxmo Puccino and many others.
For the theater, Jean Phi Dary wrote the music for Tony Harrison's poem "V", which he performed with Guillaume Durieux at the Maison de la Poésie.
He was also musician/actor on two plays directed by Pierre Pradinas, "Fantomas revient" and "L'enfer", with Romane Bohringer, Christophe "Disco" Mink and Sandra Nkake,Dom Farkas.
