Irène DRÉSEL

Colorful techno that's as sensual as it is frontal - that's how to describe Irène Drésel's world in a nutshell. A hypnotic world in which languorous, athletic BPMs rub shoulders with crystalline melodies, thwarting the expectations of many a listener to the genre. A polymorphous artist who has left the hustle and bustle of Paris for the calm of the countryside, Irène Drésel takes care of her universe down to the smallest detail, as evidenced on stage by the roses that gracefully overhang the cold steel of her machines.
Although Irène Drésel composes alone, she is accompanied live by percussionist Sizo Del Givry, adding a certain aura to this visual singularity. This two-person formula does not, however, exclude the occasional guest appearance.
The producer, who has performed in numerous concerts, has also had the opportunity to appear on the stages of major festivals. These include Le Printemps de Bourges, Fnac Live, Les Vieilles Charrues, Scopitone, Ososphère, Arte Concert and Fusion Festival.
After two consecutive EPs, "Rita" (2017) and "Icône" (2018), her debut album, "Hyper Cristal", saw the light of day in Spring 2019, and her latest album, "Kinky Dogma", was released in June 2021. This new album highlights the repetitive, spatial nature of his musical style, plunging us into his mad psyche to dance the night away in fields of flowers. Sometimes frenetic, sometimes more solemn, this is music that should be listened to as a spiritual song to free our bodies for Dionysian feasts.
Alongside the stage, Irène Drésel took her first steps into the world of cinema, writing the soundtrack for Eric Gravel's film "À Plein Temps", released in March 2022 and starring actress Laure Calamy. For this film, Irène Drésel won the César for Best Original Score on February 24, 2023. She thus became the first woman in history to win an award in this category.
For the same film, Irène Drésel also received the Best Music Tiantan Award at the 12th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF), and the soundtrack was also one of the 5 nominated for the Prix de l'Académie des Lumières 2023.
