Gadi Oron has been Managing Director of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC) since 2014. Trained as a lawyer specializing in the entertainment and intellectual property sectors, Mr. Oron has held various positions of responsibility in different sectors of the music and creative industries. As head of CISAC, he oversees the activities of the world's leading network of authors' societies, which represents 230 collective management organizations in over 120 countries.
A specialist in international copyright law, e-commerce and advocacy, Gadi Oron is the voice of the creative sector to government, legislators and international bodies. He is a Visiting Professor at Queen Mary University of London, where he lectures on copyright and the creative industries. He has been ranked among France's most influential lawyers by "The Legal 500" and, in 2019, was named one of the 26 "major players" in the international music industry by "Variety Magazine".
