Frédéric HOCQUARD was elected Conseiller de Paris delegué à la nuit in 2014. In October 2017, he was appointed deputy to the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, in charge of nightlife and the diversity of the cultural economy. In this capacity, he was in charge of subjects relating to nightlife, but also cultural industries, cultural businesses, arts and crafts, as well as current music, street art, interstitial venues and private theater.
The Mayor of Paris has reappointed Frédéric Hocquard as Deputy Mayor for his second term in June 2020. He is now in charge of Tourism and Nightlife.
Frédéric Hocquard has been Chairman of the Fédération Nationale des Collectivités pour la Culture (FNCC) since 2021.
