Emy Stantcheva is General Manager of MusicOntario, the provincial Music Industry Association (MIA) dedicated to supporting the growth of Ontario's music sector from its roots. With 18 years of experience in the music industry, Emy has worked extensively in the areas of publicity, copywriting, artist management and development, traditional and experiential marketing, event, festival and awards gala planning, international export strategy, community development, funding and grant writing, advocacy and sector policy.
Since joining MusicOntario in 2013, Emy has overseen all aspects of operations, communications, marketing, funding and programming for the association, whose mission is to create opportunities for emerging artists and music entrepreneurs through professional development, advocacy and access to resources. Having held several roles within the Canadian Independent Music Association, Emy firmly believes in the need for arts service organizations to educate and empower people. Under her leadership, the association has organized over 404 events in 38 cities, 10 provinces/ states, six countries and two continents, supporting the development of Ontario's thriving music community.
