After 4 years working at a Major in London and then Paris, French-British Emily Gonneau successively founded Unicum Music, her own label & publishing company (2009), Nüagency, a digital agency specialized in music & culture (2013), and Causa, a safe space for high-level debates and forward-thinking conversations at the intersection of music, innovation and social change (2023).
Author of "L'Artiste, le Numérique et la Musique", a strong book reference for French artists intent on implementing the best digital strategies published by the Centre National de la Musique (CNM) and currently enjoying its 3rd edition (2023), Emily Gonneau was also an Associate Professor at Paris Sorbonne University for 10 years, teaching Master-level classes and directing research papers.
Emily is also a member of the CNM's Innovation Commission, a Keychange 2022 Innovator and the Conference Curator for MaMA Invent, MaMA Music & Convention's space dedicated to all aspects of innovation in the music industry.
She is also the Co/Founder of a number of non-profits aiming to transform the French music industry: the Social Music Awards (highlighting the best digital content and campaigns), La Nouvelle Onde (awards & organisation championing the industry's under 30 year old movers and shakers since 2018), and Change de disque (focused on fixing the ecosystem's rampant sexism and discrimination).
